Frequently Asked Questions
Can we Post Signs around Campus for the Event? Can we use A-Board's?
Any signs posted prior to the day of your event must be approved by Student Programs at Highline. We encourage you to use A board signs, balloons and other signage the day of your event to help direct the way to your space. Please do not use tape on glass or wood surfaces!
What is the parking policy?
After booking a room through Hospitality Services, they will advise you on the parking situation the day of your event. If you are hosting an event during school hours, we will provide you with a parking permit via email. Most weekend and evening events will not need a permit.
What can we use to affix decorations?
Please use only blue painter's tape when hanging decorations. Avoid taping wood and glass surfaces to avoid damage. Only push pins are allowed on the bulletin board across campus (PLEASE no staples). Any damage caused by decorations or guest is the liability of the event host.
How do we acquire a wireless internet password for our meeting?
Please request wireless internet access at the time you are booking your meeting. It takes our IT department 3 working days to develop and distribute access specifically for your group.
What is the distance between the balcony and columns in Building 8? (For streamers)
To hang streamers between the balcony and columns in Building 8 you will need approximately 60' per streamer. Please ask our Hospitality Services department about hanging arrangements.
Can we bring in food from the outside?
Highline is catered exclusively by our in house catering staff from Chartwells. All food and beverages consumed during conferences and room rentals must be ordered through Chartwells. Menus and pricing can be acquired by contacting Hospitality Services at conference@highline.edu
